🎮 Gameplay
Fears to Fathom: Scratch Creek is an episodic psychological co-op horror game where each episode tells a short story narrated by the ones who survived. In this episode, you play as Tessa Langley and Marcus Reed, a young couple from Oregon preparing to move to another state, whose journey takes an unexpected turn when they arrive in the decrepit town of Scratch Creek. As they collectively make the right choices, they must navigate this eerie atmosphere with VHS film aesthetic, receiving texts from NPCs and communicating through proximity voice chat. With driving and exploration mechanics, this 2-player narrative co-op walking simulator requires you to work together with your friend or find a survivor in-game, all while uncovering the dark secrets of Scratch Creek.
As you and your co-op partner step into the shoes of Tessa and Marcus, you're immediately immersed in a world that's equal parts eerie and foreboding. The town of Scratch Creek is a decrepit, abandoned settlement that seems to be shrouded in an perpetual gloom, with flickering streetlights casting long shadows across the cracked sidewalks. You'll face numerous pressures as you navigate this treacherous landscape, from the constant threat of unknown terrors lurking in the shadows to the psychological strain of making difficult decisions together.

The town's factions - a motley crew of survivors, cultists, and enigmatic figures - will stop at nothing to get what they want, forcing you to constantly adapt and improvise to stay one step ahead. And then there are the creatures: twisted, corrupted beings that seem to be drawn to the very fabric of reality itself. With no clear direction or guidance, it's up to you and your co-op partner to unravel the mysteries of Scratch Creek, all while trying to survive long enough to uncover the truth behind this forsaken town.
